DreamScapes Masonry and Concrete
We build the pool and everything around it, which is exactly the part most pool projects get wrong.

Ask anyone who has bought a pool: the water is the easy part. What decides how the backyard actually feels is everything around it, the coping your hand rests on, the deck that ties the pool to the house, the walls that hold the grade, the lighting that makes it usable past eight o'clock. Most pool companies pour the shell and leave the rest to somebody else. We build both, as one project, so the seams you normally see between contractors simply do not exist.
Freeform or rectangular, at grade or raised, one of our favorite builds is a freeform pool set above grade and wrapped in a full stone wall, so the pool reads as masonry, not plastic. Maryland yards slope; that is not a problem to engineer around, it is the design opportunity.
Both, together. We build the pool and the complete surround, coping, deck, walls, steps and lighting, as one project. That is the point: no seams between a pool contractor and a hardscape contractor, and no gap in the middle of your yard where their responsibilities meet.
Usually, yes, grade is a wall and engineering question, not a no. Slopes are where raised pools and terraced surrounds come from, and honestly where the best looking projects happen.
Earlier than you think, permits, engineering and excavation all take calendar time before the fun part starts. Call in the fall and you swim the following summer; call in May and you are probably swimming the summer after.
Free consultations, no pressure. Call, tell us what you're dreaming about, and we'll walk the yard with you.
